Wedding Inspiration – Bohemia by the Sea

We’re suckers for romance here at McQueens and this photoshoot lead by our colleague Diana (who is also the master behind the floral designs) transported us to truly magical coastal wedding. Having researched lots of Kent-based beaches, Diana was struck by the striking Botany Bay landscape and knew instantly that she’d found her location! After negotiating their way around tourists and some good ol‘ unpredictable summer weather, Diana and team achieved some seriously gorgeous results…

A backdrop with the ‘wow’ factor

In keeping with the natural setting, the theme embraced an evocative bohemian direction – complete with a driftwood tipi. Assembling a truly talented team – each element complemented the other, from the heavenly embroidered gown to the beautifully ornate stationary.

Naturally, our heads were turned by the spectacular flowers, the shoot’s beautiful model (and Mcqueens team member), Selina enthused ‘ I was (still am) in awe of her designs; unique combinations packed full of rustic colours, texture, varieties and scent… I couldn’t have hoped for nicer flowers if it was my actual wedding day, and the bridal bouquet was my favourite, of course.” Delicate papery blooms such as peonies, cosmos and dahlias featured alongside rustic and earthy foliage – interesting shapes added another layer of interest  – amaranthus for example helped to create a relaxed silhouette.

Camera wizards, Wedding Faeries Photography captured the otherworldly scene – shooting until dusk, making the most of magic hour which is evident from the atmospheric photos.

Diana reflected on her busy but inspiring day “It’s been such as joy bringing this photoshoot to life and a privilege working alongside so many talented creatives. It’s such an amazing feeling to see your vision come to life – I’d like to thank everyone involved.”
