We’ve been celebrating Christmas in true McQueens style with a festive ‘Made by McQueens‘ series, showing our talented florists as they whip up some fabulous, Yuletide-inspired designs. The last in our 5-part series is the spectacularly talented McQueens florist Yeonhee Lee who created a stunning festive urn with some of the season’s finest materials.
“I like natural and garden-style florals with a balance of foliage and flowers,’ explains Yeon Hee. ‘An urn design is an ideal way to create something where you can combine the two in perfect harmony. For this festive display, I used a variety of pines, gold-dipped asparagus fern, skimmia japonica, and eucalyptus populus with seasonal flowers including festive poinsettia, amaryllis, double tulips, chrysanthemums, red anemones, and Cherry Brandy roses. The gold-dipped, glittered apples added a final, festive touch, tying in beautifully with the rustic, golden urn.”
