We’ve had the pleasure of creating gorgeous flowers for some truly spectacular ceremonies over the years, and today we’re sharing five show-stopping McQueens weddings to inspire and delight anyone preparing for their upcoming nuptials. We adore creating florals for all events but naturally, weddings are always extra exciting, with each couple bringing something new to the table, creating something truly unique every time. With a busy wedding season almost behind us, it’s prime time to take a look back and share some wedding inspiration — from a countryside soirée and lavish Mayfair affairs to a sun-drenched romance in Tuscany. So without further ado, here are some of our most popular weddings of recent years.
Kim and Craig
Kim and Craig tied the knot in the sublime sunken garden at The Grove Hotel, Hertfordshire in August of 2016. While Craig opted for a super-stylish and traditional Scottish kilt, Kim wowed her guests in one of the most fabulous fishtail dresses we’ve ever seen, and the pair exchanged their vows framed by a sumptuous floral arch. Afterwards celebrations included a lavish wedding reception in the ballroom at the Grove. All was captured beautifully by talented photographer, Mike Garrard.

Freddie and Tony
On Saturday 3 June this year, McQueens staff threw off their aprons and gathered en masse in their finest attire for the spectacular wedding of our very own school administrator, Freddie and his civil partner, Tony. Held at the exclusive, members-only Savile Club in Mayfair, it was a glorious day of celebrations and merriment surrounded by some truly decadent McQueens blooms, of course.

Penelope and J
Naturally one of the many perks of working at an internationally-renowned florist is the opportunity for travel, and the wedding of Penelope and J at the Castello Di Tornano in Tuscany was certainly a highlight this year. From the romantic pre-wedding dinner at Tuscany’s own ‘Castle of Love’, the Castello Di Ama, to Penelope and J’s joyous outdoor ceremony and decadent floral displays filled with rustic flowers and fruit, it certainly stood out as a favourite with McQueens florists. Charlotte and Joe
Charlotte and Joe got married at Grosvenor Chapel in June 2016 and had their dream wedding reception, filled with old-school glamour and sophistication, at Claridge’s in Mayfair. In the bride’s own words, ‘the flowers were quite literally like something out of a fairytale!’ and we couldn’t agree more. From the chapel to the Drawing Room and French Salon at Claridge’s, the celebration was truly a sight to behold and all was captured beautifully by Yorkshire wedding photographer, Toast.

Rebecca and Will
Will and Rebecca got married on 3 October 2015 at the Queen’s Chapel of The Savoy. Keen to strike a balance between a ‘city wedding’ and something a little more bucolic, Rebecca opted for a stunning structured, English garden bouquet, with blush pinks, creams, and touches of seasonal foliage. The theme carried through to their elegant reception in the Claridge’s Drawing Room where beautiful blooms, trailing ivy and pillar candles gave the rooms such a wonderfully romantic, softly-lit feel. The day was captured by London-based photographers, Wild Weddings.
