The mission statement for the Royal Horticultural Society is to enrich everyone’s life through plants and to make the UK a greener, more beautiful place. They do so much amazing work throughout the year with local initiatives promoting the benefits of Britain in Bloom. The Chelsea Flower Show is the jewel in the crown, and one of the highlights of the year, attracting talented garden designers and exhibitors from all around the world, so naturally Claridge’s likes to pay homage to this landmark event.

On entering Claridge’s, guests are met with gigantic displays bursting full of delphinium, hydrangea, guelder rose, clematis and peony, the quintessential garden favourite.  The installations are completed with a selection of our favourite miniature potted plants including lavender, hydrangea, spray rose and mixed herbs.

‘I love the seasonality of working with flowers, and I feel so lucky to be designing the weekly installations for Claridge’s Hotel,’ says  Yenhee Lee, ‘We love creating special installation throughout the year, and the Chelsea Flower Show week  is always a special highlight of our year. We design our installations weeks in advance and we had lots of plants to prepare for the overnight installation. The installation remains in place for the duration of the show so the displays will need to be watered and maintained each day and installations but it’s definitely worth the effort – there is a wonderful garden scent as you walk through the hotel lobby.’
